Patrick Boehler

Patrick Boehler is the founder of Gazzetta, a Tallinn and New York-based research firm supporting media and technology companies in advancing internet freedom globally. He previously led Radio Free Europe's digital transformation, establishing its audience research, marketing, and product departments, along with its journalism academy and Innovation Lab. He has held executive newsroom roles, and has conducted award-winning reporting for The New York Times and South China Morning Post. He co-founded the Environmental Reporting Collective, and has taught at the University of Hong Kong. He holds a doctorate in political science and was a 2023 Sulzberger Executive Leadership Fellow at Columbia University.
