Beatrice Patsalides Hoffmann

Beatrice Patsalides Hoffmann is a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst based in Paris. She is a member and training analyst at the Lacanian School of Psychoanalysis, in Berkeley, USA. She was formerly the Clinical director of Survivors International, a US-based center for the treatment of victims of political violence. She is a co-author of the 2004 UN-sponsored Istanbul Protocol on the effective investigation into and documentation of torture and ill-treatment. She has published numerous texts on psychoanalysis and analytic practice in the field of political violence and torture, including women’s health and gender-based violence.
