Issue 1. Grief and Healing

In this issue, coming out at the beginning of the fourth year of Russian full-scale war on Ukraine, we delve into the intricate interplay between the trauma of mourning and the search for healing. This is both an intimate and a collective topic. We explore what happens to our mental health after the loss of someone close. We also look at how states and citizens commemorate those who’ve perished in war. And we share the inner story of a young woman rediscovering the beauty of a garden she inherited from her mother. This issue is about sorrow, but also about nurturing hope.
