Poet

ariel rosé is a poet, essayist, and illustrator, from Poland and Norway. His books include: the sea at night is a muscle of the heart (morze nocą jest mięśniem serca), published by PIW in 2022, and translated into Ukrainian by Natalia Belchenko (море вночі стає м’язом серця, Duh i Litera 2024, and North: Parables (Północ Przypowieści), published by Znak in 2019. He is co-editor and co-author of Both Sides Face East/Durable Words, published by Academic Studies Press in 2025. ariel is a member of PEN Berlin and co-creates Litteratur på Blå in Oslo. He has held fellowships at IWM in Vienna, and INDEX in Lviv. ariel has two books forthcoming: Ukraine – A Polyphony, and Ways of Swimming. He lives as a nomad between languages and countries.
