Grégoire Georges-Picot is a French historian and filmmaker based in Marseille. His work highlights the place of foreigners in the history of 20th century France, in particular in the anti-Nazi resistance. One of his documentary films describes the liberation of Marseille in 1944. He curated an exhibition about soldiers from French colonies and their contribution to the liberation of Europe in World War II. His work was carried out under the direction of the Groupe Marat, an French association founded by former foreign resistance fighters, of which Julia Pirotte was a member.
