Jelnar Ahmad is a Syrian civil society activist and consultant. She is the Syrian Archive program manager at Mnemonic, an organization dedicated to the documentation and preservation of open‑source, human rights‑related material. Jelnar has over ten years of experience with civil society and non-governmental organizations in the Syrian context, in addition to independent research and consultancy work. Her areas of expertise include civic space and the role of civil society, international aid systems, gender equality and women’s rights, and mechanisms of transitional justice. She is based in Berlin.
