Mavilye Khalil is a journalist from Kyiv, and the manager of the Crimean Studies Center of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, which conducts research and educational work on the topic of Crimea. She is an assistant professor at the department of psychodiagnostics and clinical psychology of the Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv. She researches the psychological consequences of collective trauma connected to the deportation of the Crimean Tatars in 1944. She is the author of scripts and a consultant for documentary films about Crimean Tatars: "1944", "Return", "Living Heritage of Crimea",
