Oleksandra Kushchenko

Art critic, researcher

Oleksandra Kushchenko is an art critic, researcher, lecturer and curator from Lviv. She graduated from the faculty of journalism at Kharkiv National University. She holds a master's degree in cultural studies from the Lviv National Academy of Arts. She researches the history and theory of art and photography, artistic institutions and cultural processes, focusing on Lviv’s artistic life in the 20th-21st centuries. She is the author of educational projects titled (History) of her art and (History) of her photography, set up jointly with the Feministic Workshop NGO. She has hosted the Ukrainian Artists: See and Hear podcast. In 2014, she founded and started editing ArtLvivOnline, an independent media outlet.
