Viktoria Bavykina

Viktoriia Bavykina is a curator and researcher from Kharkiv, based in Liverpool, where is an associate curator at the Open Eye Gallery. She is a co-founder of Ukrainian Photographies, a platform that supports and promotes Ukrainian photography. In 2024, together with Max Gorbatskyi, she was co-curator of the Ukrainian National Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, presenting the project Net Making. In 2025, was a fellow researcher at the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities at the University of Edinburgh. She has curated exhibition projects for the Mystetskyi Arsenal (Kyiv), the Yermilov Center (Kharkiv), the Stills Center for photography (Edinburgh), the Breda photo festival (the Netherlands), the UK Parliament, and Norway’s national museum of photography.
