
Vladyslava Moskalets
Historian
Vladyslava Moskalets is an associate professor at the Ukrainian Catholic University and a researcher at the Center for Urban History, in Lviv. She teaches courses on Jewish social history, history of migration, history of Ukraine in the long 19th century, and Hebrew. She is also a public historian, publishing articles and blogs in Ukrainian media. In 2011-2012, Vladyslava was a fellow at the Hebrew University, in Jerusalem. She received her PhD in 2017 from Jagiellonian University, Kraków, with a dissertation on “Jewish Industrial Elites in Drohobych and Boryslav, 1860-1900.” In 2023, she was a visiting lecturer at the University of Illinois, in Chicago, teaching Ukrainian history. Her academic interests include: social and economic history of Jews, urban history, heritage and memory studies, and Yiddish literature.
