Friendship can begin as something ordinary, with a conversation or a gesture, before growing into a space where freedom meets responsibility. It’s when we learn to see one another not as mirrors but as distinct, irreplaceable beings. In times of war or displacement, friendship becomes a fragile sanctuary. Across history, friendships have endured the test of ideology and violence, surviving through messages, big or small acts, and even silences that hold meaning. Our November 2025 issue explores friendship as an ethical bond and a form of resistance.
